Irish Dance

After another run of sold-out shows, Washington Sound Museum returns on August 1st & 2nd 2015 with Grammy-nominated Progressive Hip-Hop artist, Christylez Bacon and Irish Sean-nós dancer and instrumentalist, Shannon Dunne. The pair will explore the connections of Irish Traditional music and Hip-Hop/Go-Go resulting in a collaboration that will mix everything from Sean-nós to tap, accordion to congas; debuting their collaborative soundscapes for Washington Sound Museum’s 24th Installment.

Kate Spanos will perform as a guest artist at the Shannon Dunne Dance annual showcase. She will perform various styles of Irish dance, including contemporary step dance, sean nós, and Molyneaux "old style" step dance from North Kerry. Other guest artists include Maestrom, the Bog Band, Peter Brice, and Christylez Bacon.

Kate Spanos will judge the 3rd annual Sean Nós Dance Competition hosted by Shannon Dunne Dance at McGinty's Public House.

Kate Spanos will perform an Irish dance piece with Shannon Dunne Dance at the 15th Annual Prince George's County World Dance Showcase. The showcase will be held at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly, MD at 8pm. More information coming soon.
